Thriving in this Land – West Harbour in October 2026
I’m excited to be facilitating in my local West Harbour neighbourhood – Thriving in this Land: a three-part series on Treaty, economic and climate justice
‘Thriving in this Land’ is a workshop series designed to help us join the dots between following Jesus and some of the big issues New Zealand is facing. Hosted by Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, drawing on resources created by Common Grace Aotearoa, these workshops are an opportunity to explore some of the big issues of our time.
Across three 90-minute open and collaborative sessions, we’ll explore how as a nation we can address poverty and the cost of living, respond to our unstable climate, and honour the Treaty. We’ll engage with theology, and hear from experts and people on the ground. We’ll discuss how to work towards a nation where everyone has enough, our earth is protected, and our promises are kept.

- Session 3: The Cost of Living – 22 October, 2026, 7:15 pm
Venue: Emmanuel Church Hall, 12 Station Road, Sawyers Bay
Open to locals and visitors. There is a bus stop outside the church and an optional koha of $5 per night to cover costs.
